Motherhood

I am passionate about celebrating the journey of motherhood. My own journey started 21 years ago with the birth of my first daughter Natasha. Having had a blooming pregnancy and a very blasé attitude to birth, I was totally unprepared for what was to come. I won’t go into too much detail here (you can read more about my personal story on my blog), but it’s suffice to say that after a very traumatic birth, I felt shell-shocked and like I had been hit by a truck on the inside. I couldn’t breastfeed and suffered from postnatal depression.

Entrepreneur

Fast forward to my second child, Alana who was born 12 years ago. I was made redundant when she was just over a-year-old. Having always dreamt of setting up my own business and having never forgotten my own experience of becoming a mother, I wanted to do something that would help women and prevent them from having the same experience I had.

In 2007, I set up MamaBabyBliss. Having started with only me running small mother and baby classes in North London, today it is the only company in the world to offer products, treatments, nationwide classes and training dedicated to pregnancy, mothers and babies. Our mission is to support women through pregnancy, birth and motherhood and ensure their babies have the very best start in  life.
